Sweet Dreams

My love affair goes way back. Not everybody approves, Mr E certainly doesn’t. I swear his glowers have a life of their own. But I get to choose who I spend my life with and that’s that.

Even my mother felt I was spending too much time with the Love of My Life. She felt I needed to expand my horizons. I’m sure that phrase comes from the Universal Handbook of Things All Mothers Must Say to Their Children At Some Point.

Mother felt my great love was far too controlling. A trip to the newsagents every day and that was it for my outings. She did say there was more to life than that. I suspect she was right. Even I sometimes wondered if there was life beyond the end of my street… but….

When you have a serious addiction to Wispa bars, the end of the street where the newsagents are located is about as far as you want to go!

It’s just a pity I have to pass the dentists on the way there. I’m getting a bit tired of seeing Mr E scowl at me as I scoff one of my Wispas on the way home. I don’t see what his problem is given I always clean my teeth well!

I strongly suspect he’s a Mars Bar man. There is no other accounting for it. I’ll ask next time I’m there. And if he tells me he has never eaten a sweet in his life, I shan’t believe him. Even dentists succumb to the lure of chocolate sometimes, don’t they?
